Against all odds, this fearless woman became an officer in the Israeli army - Israel is in the desert of the Middle East

Meet Jerusalem Andela. She suffers from a rare eye condition, and is almost blind without special eye contacts. Despite her challenges, she didn't let it stop her and became an officer in the IDF.
She chose to serve her country anyway, and volunteered to join the IDF. Today, she is an officer.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is the only army in the Middle East where women serve a central role.
How many like Jerusalem Andela exist in Saudi Arabia, Palestine or Iran? And why is that the case? Why can Israel reach the moon and Muslim countries are still fighting each other?
Israel is the one country in the Middle East where women enjoy equality and minorities thrive!
Israel does not have a constitution, but the Israeli Declaration of Independence states: “The State of Israel (…) will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex.”
This is what the media does not want you to know about Israel.
Israel is the only democratic state in the entire Middle East, the only place in the Middle East where Christians are safe and women are free.
Women in israel From all sectors and religions are more disadvantaged economically, politically, and socially than are women in the rest of the Middle East (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, etc.)

The Middle East conflict is framed as one of the most complex problems in the world. But, in reality, it's very simple.
Israel wants to exist as a Jewish state and to live in peace. Israel also recognizes the right of Palestinians to have their own state and to live in peace. The problem, however, is that most Palestinians and many other Muslims and Arabs, do not recognize the right of the Jewish state of Israel to exist.
Israel was founded in 1948, and since that auspicious day, its neighbors have tried to destroy it, again and again.
In 1967, the dictator of Egypt, Gamal Abdel Nasser, announced his plan, in his words, “to destroy Israel.” He placed Egyptian troops on Israel’s border, and armies of surrounding Arab countries were also mobilized to attack. Israel begged Jordan’s king not to join the war. But he did. And only because of that did Israel take control of Jordanian land, specifically the “West Bank” of the Jordan River.
It’s important to remember that today’s disputed territories which Israel obtained in 1967 were conquered in a defensive war from Jordan…not from any state of Palestine.
In fact, Judea and Samaria (The West Bank and East Jerusalem) have never been part of a Palestinian state, nor was there a Palestinian state previously.
In addition, the Gaza Strip never belonged to a Palestinian state, Gaza Strip was conquered by Israel in a defensive war from Egypt.
Israelis want to live in peace and are willing to accept a neighboring Arab state But we must not forget what happened when Israel gave Gaza to the Palestinians.
The residents of Gaza voted as a terrorist organization, Hamas controlled the Gaza Strip.
Peace will come when the Arab states understand that Israel is not going anywhere.
